I am here at last, to lift you from your winter blues, with this latin-soul original composed in Olde English (within a décima poetic form). Inspired by the beauty we find everywhere.

Bewildered my arrival did befall
It was a bit too early for her still
She stood there in her towel with good will
Her light of morning's visage would enthrall
'Twas Lady Weekend's name that I did call

And tried to capture the best of her
And be so very impressed with her
I guess I was so blessed with her
And so compose a décima
A thing that I'll bring addressed to her

Of splendor she was harder to convince
She treated me the same just like a prince
Deprived of makeup, state of natural hair
And yet with me a soul that she would share
A beauty I've not known before or since

I tried to capture the best of her
And be so very impressed with her
I guess I was so blessed with her
And so compose a décima
A thing that I'll bring addressed to her

Here in my décima I'm falling
Deep in the lure of my love's calling
Here to concede as I lay bawling
And walk with the blind, keeping her in mind
